So i went and got the server back from Clutch this weekend. Its sitting on my floor collecting dust as of now. I guess the question is what the fuck to do with it. Should i get it hosted here in the city? I know a place that has real bandwidth that we can use and no packet loss. Imagine that, we could actually run gameservers and use them.

The question is do we need a hosted server anymore? I mean i love having one. Its nice to be able to control every aspect of 10100, run gameservers. Do anything we want, and try new things. In a true hosted environment. Its pretty badass, with the new setup if you wanted a VPS a virtual server of your own we could hook it up.

I’m going to post in the forum first to see if we should even host it, then to see who is willing to help me pay for it. If we can get a couple of us paying then it wont be so hard on me.

Installing server 2008 as my gaming machine os. My tests at work have proven it’s faster and just better overall than vista.

So the recently rebuilt 10100 server is chugging right along. I have a couple users beta testing some features before we move 10100 and the forum back over. The Teamspeak server is back up and running, as well as the new and improved Cod4 server.

When the site switches over to the new server. We will be adding a wiki for users that would like to use some of the more advance features of the new system. i.e. pre user web-space (publish your own website) User ssh access (run your own linux gameserver, or voice, or whatevr you want).If anyone would like to get in on a little beta testing let me know. But until i get the documentation finished your pretty much going to be on your own.

With all that said, were on a way way fatter pipe now, so use that to your advantage. Someone get me a cod4 map rotation that you like and ill put it up. Also if anyone sees the 1.7 linux server updates shoot me an e-mail and ill have that motherfucker updated lickity split.

if you can think of anything you would like to see, any questions comments or concerns (not about the rash tell dafinga about that shit) dont hesitate to ask, request or beg. It may just get you somewhere.

Sitting here its easy to just say fuck it and not post. I could easily just play games all night and not do shit with the website as usual. But i have dedication like your mom has chicken salad sandwiches. I could write shit all night, just blabbering about my lame ass day. Or i could just go on about how i like the magicbutter team and have been doing some seriously challenging work again. Something that i think everyone needs to do, to remember that there alive. But ill leave you with this.
