If you haven’t noticed I have changed the site. I’m tired of trying to keep that theme running and decided to go minimal. I’m going to migrate the forum to another domain and link all the associated sites to and from the actual 10100 forum.

If you were not aware it was recently Halloween some of us got together to march in the parade, we arrived early and got over to the start of the parade but we got rained out. No umbrellas, and the fact that superhero capes are not waterproof foiled our plans. PICTURES

We had a blast anyway, and going as a superhero is awesome. I was the Urinator, and M1ffy American Dream, captain America’s daughter (his hot hot daughter) Raz was the man with no name, or something like that.

So the site is dead. Surprise.. Surprise… I can’t even find time to type enough, to come out as a formidable post anymore. I make no sense. It?s crazy. I knew that once shiner_man, dafinga and I got busy the site would basically turn into a chunk of ass on the net just like everything else. I have been testing out Linux over the past couple days. And with the release of Xgl I have to say Linux is looking a lot better. Its by no means easy to setup but it is however pretty rewarding booting into a free desktop that is opengl accelerated. Exciting I think that within the next 5 years were going to see some growth on the Linux front. It?s exciting and it?s also probably going to move slower than I predict.

It?s nice to think that you could however buy a dell one day with Linux already setup. Ship it to your mom and fix her problems remotely via ssh connection. Its nice to think of a server running 2 concurrent operating systems or more linked to 3 or 4 others and sharing load, energy, and costs. It?s pretty nice to see a open gl accelerated desktop sitting on a free operating system.

I think it is only a matter of time when novel releases there fully functional os, and dell starts shipping computers with it preinstalled. That people may start to look at it as a viable alternative. But after setting this thing up there is no way that id recommend it for use if you don?t want to learn it. It?s not like a mac. You have a lot of work to do once you put that disk in. and no remembering your own name and city you live in wont cut it.

Id like to say that ill see Linux sitting in almost every workplace by the time I?m 40 but id be a liar if I told you that?s what I believed. Anyway I?m going to be heading out in a bit.
